At last, there is now a simple and straightforward Wi-Fi™ product for transport operators that's easy to install and maintain.
Our Beam™ technology allows you to offer your passengers free, sponsored or paid-for Internet access from their smartphone using Wi-Fi™ onboard your buses and coaches connected to the cellular network.
You can even connect other equipment, such as ticket machines or CCTV systems, to the Internet through the Beam™ box reducing the need for multiple cellular connections, and hence reducing costs.
How It Works
A Beam™ box is installed on the bus containing the electronics necessary for the Wi-Fi™ system along with a device containing a SIM card required to connect to the cellular data network.
Easy Installation
The self-contained box is simply connected to a 12/24V power source (via the master switch) on the bus or coach; both the bus power system and the box is protected by a power management unit. The boxes can be fitted in the factory, or easily retro-fitted by your PSV electrician in less than 10 minutes!
In most cases it is not necessary to mount external aerials, but in those rare cases where this is necessary, our system can easily be supplied to support this.

Onboard Internet Access
Most smartphones and tablets now come with Wi-Fi™ capabilities as standard, so give your passengers Internet access when they travel with you by allowing them to connect to a Beam™ box.
We don't believe in complicated sign-up processes and passwords, so our out-of-the-box Wi-Fi service guides the user through a simple connection process via a portal with your operator branding. It even tells the user whether the bus is online or not depending on the cellular connection status.
Onboard Web Portal
The optional onboard Web portal can be extended to allow the high-speed delivery of passenger information, downloads and other rich content such as audio and video files. You can even include information feeds from external sources via the cellular connection.
And because these portals are onboard, they are local and benefit from the direct high-speed Wi-Fi connection, whether or not there is a cellular connection available.
